Happy Go Lucky Story

Born in Northern Germany, lisa left Europe and lived in New Orleans for 12 years, operating a small arts business in the city’s historic French Market. After leaving Nola, she settled in Eugene, Oregon. Inspired by all the exceptional organic local food production, love of European street food, and the enjoyment of good food carried from New Orleans, Happy Go Lucky Crêpes was established in 2011 by Lisa and her partner Phranque in Eugene, Oregon as “Crepe Cyclette”, a crepe kitchen on a bicycle (Built by Phranque!) You may have seen us in past years, wheeling our bike to the local farmers markets or, more recently, at the Whiteaker Sunday Market. While running a crepe cart at the U of Oregon, Lisa made many Chinese friends who taught her about Jian Bings, the popular Chinese street crepes. Happy Go Lucky brought Eugene’s first Jian Bings to the city and we have now added them to our rotating menu. Check out our video about us making Jian Bings at the U of O below!

In the past 12 years our business has evolved into a Pacific Northwest festival-based booth operating at large-scale events, serving 1000s of patrons a day.

When the Covid pandemic hit us, we used our down-time to build our first food trailer. With our new trailer, we are now able to cater to smaller venues with minimal set-up time, while still maintaining our open-style kitchen that allows for every order to turn into a meal as well as a show!
